Who writes here

A8S is the editorial byline of Studio A8S, the French media studio that owns and publishes OneMoreThing. It is a small operation — one editorial desk rather than a newsroom — and the byline is used deliberately rather than as a way of hiding behind a logo: every article on this site is written, sourced and checked by the same desk, and that desk is accountable for all of it.

Choosing a single byline means there is no ambiguity about who to hold responsible when something is wrong. Corrections, complaints and source disputes all reach the same address, and they are answered.

Background

Studio A8S works in software and technology. That background is the reason the site exists: reading an Apple security bulletin, a filing or a set of quarterly results is easier when you have spent time with the underlying systems, and the value of a piece here is meant to sit in that reading rather than in speed.

It is also the reason for the limits stated on the about page. We have no commercial relationship with Apple, no early access to its products, and no affiliation with it of any kind. We are not present at its events and we do not receive review units. Everything published here is assembled from public material and from the reporting of others, credited and linked.

Areas covered

Apple hardware and software releases, security updates and their practical consequences, quarterly results and what they say about the company's direction, regulatory disputes in the EU and the United States, and the supply chain behind the products. Rumours are covered only when they come from an identifiable source and when the uncertainty is itself worth explaining.

Method

Every article starts from primary material where one exists — Apple's own documentation, a regulatory filing, an earnings report, a security bulletin — and cites it. Where a story rests on reporting by others, that reporting is named and linked rather than absorbed. What is confirmed, what is reported but unconfirmed, and what is our own analysis are kept visibly separate, in every language the site publishes in. If an article contains a wrong figure, a misread source or a claim stated with more confidence than the evidence supports, write to contact@onemorething.news. Corrections are applied to every language version at once and the change is stated in the article rather than made quietly. Privacy requests go to privacy@onemorething.news.
