Who we are

Every article on this site carries a single byline, A8S, and that page sets out who is behind it.

OneMoreThing is an independent publication about Apple — its products, its strategy, and the industry that moves around it. The site is published by Studio A8S, a French media studio based in France. We have no commercial relationship with Apple, no early access to its products, and no affiliation with it of any kind.

We are a small operation, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. What we can offer is not scale but discipline: fewer articles, checked against their sources, written to be useful a month after publication rather than fifteen minutes after a press release.

What we cover, and what we do not

We follow Apple's hardware and software releases, its security updates, its financial results, its regulatory disputes and the supply chain behind its products. We write about rumours only when they come from an identifiable source and when the uncertainty itself is worth explaining.

We do not publish leaked images of unreleased products, unsourced predictions, or engagement-driven speculation. When a story amounts to nothing more than a rewritten press release, we leave it to the press release.

How we work

Every article starts from primary material where one exists: Apple's own documentation, a regulatory filing, an earnings report, a security bulletin. Where the story rests on reporting by others, we say so and link to them. Citing a source is not a weakness; concealing one to look original is.

We separate three things explicitly and keep them separate in every language we publish: what is confirmed, what is reported but unconfirmed, and what is our own analysis. Words like "reportedly" and "Apple has not confirmed" are load-bearing, and we do not drop them for a smoother sentence.

Our value is not in being first. It is in the context around the fact: what it changes for the reader, what came before it, what remains unresolved, and what would need to be true for the story to hold.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix the article and say what changed rather than editing quietly. If you spot an error — a wrong figure, a misread source, a claim stated with more confidence than the evidence supports — write to contact@onemorething.news and we will look at it. Corrections are applied to all six language versions together, because a fact corrected in one language and left wrong in another is still wrong.

Languages

OneMoreThing publishes in English, French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Spanish. Each version is edited to carry the same facts, the same caveats and the same level of certainty as the others — not merely the same sentences. A translation that hardens a rumour into a fact is treated as an error, and corrected as one.

How the site is funded

OneMoreThing is financed by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how we cover it, and we do not publish sponsored articles dressed up as editorial. If that ever changes, any paid placement will be labelled as such, unmistakably. Advertising cookies are set only with your consent, as described in our privacy policy.
